Understanding Lucid Space Psychology’s Essence

The Meaning of Lucid Space

Lucid Space represents a therapeutic environment where clarity is gently reflected rather than imposed. It is a space of containment — structured, safe, and calm — where growth unfolds through understanding rather than pressure.
I approach my work with steadiness, integrity, and deep respect for each individual’s lived experience.

About me

Founded with a vision for compassionate mental health care, Lucid Space Psychology has evolved into a trusted space for individuals seeking clarity and healing. Our journey began with a commitment to understanding each client’s unique experiences, leading to a practice that emphasizes safety, relational attunement, and personal growth. The practice has continually grown, adapting to the diverse needs of the community while maintaining its core values.

From its inception, Lucid Space PsychoI am a registered psychologist with professional training and clinical experience in both China and Australia.
With over 8,000 hours of counselling and psychological practice, my work spans educational settings, private practice, and cross-cultural contexts. I began my career as a psychology teacher and counsellor in China, providing therapeutic support from 2007 to 2017. In 2021, I completed a Master of Educational Psychology at Monash University and am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Psychologist with endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology.

This bicultural professional background allows me to understand the complexity of identity, family systems, and cross-cultural dynamics with nuance and sensitivity.

I support adults, children, adolescents, and families in areas including:

  • Emotional regulation and anxiety
  • Personal development and identity
  • Parent-child relationships
  • Cross-cultural family and relationship dynamics
  • Trauma and relational patterns

Our Mission

I believe emotional clarity emerges in an environment of safety and attuned presence. Rather than rushing toward solutions, we create space to reflect, regulate, and understand internal experiences — thoughts, emotions, and protective patterns — with compassion and curiosity.

Our Values

As an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, I also provide comprehensive assessment and report services for children and adolescents aged 5–18.
Assessments may include cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and developmental evaluations. Reports are prepared with clarity and clinical precision, and feedback is provided thoughtfully to support families and schools.
